Ten questions that come up most

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything below is answered as plainly as it can be, including the parts that are inconvenient.

Does this site sell anything?
No. Every buying link opens the same item at the retail partner, who takes the payment, ships the parcel and handles any return. What this site does is set out the figures for the whole range in one place so the choice can be made before you get to a checkout.
How current are the prices?
Prices and stock are read from the retail partner and can change between that reading and your visit. The price shown at checkout is the one that counts; if the two disagree, the checkout is right and the figure here is stale.
Why are some products missing a specification?
Because it was never published for that model. Where a figure does not exist the table says so rather than carrying an estimate, since an invented capacity or an approximated height is worse than a blank.
Do the calculators send my measurements anywhere?
No. Both run entirely in your browser against a small table of figures embedded in the page, and nothing is transmitted, stored or logged. You can disconnect from the network and they will still work.
Which desk suits somebody short?
Somebody under about 175 cm will find the bottom of the standard travel too high for a comfortable seated position, and the two fixes are a model with a keyboard tray or a footrest under an ordinary one. The height calculator names the specific models that come closest.
Can these frames take a desktop I already own?
Yes, that is what the bare frames are for. They accept tops from 44 to 90 inches wide, and the top wants to be rigid and flat: a solid or laminate panel of usual thickness bolts straight on, while a thin hollow-core door tends to flex once the column is at full height.
How long does assembly take?
A desk with a top is around an hour, a bare frame closer to forty minutes, a monitor mount fifteen to twenty minutes, and a chair about twenty. The desks are easier with a second person for the single step of turning the finished desk upright.
Do the mounts fit a curved or ultrawide screen?
If the panel is within the diagonal range, under the per-arm weight limit and has a 75 by 75 or 100 by 100 mm VESA pattern, curvature makes no difference to the mount. Very wide panels are worth putting on a single arm rather than one half of a dual, because the neighbouring arm then has nowhere to go.
What warranty applies?
The warranty is the one supplied with the product and administered through the retail partner you buy from. Keep the order confirmation, since that is what any claim starts with.
Something on this site is wrong. Who do I tell?
Write to hello@ergear-desk.pages.dev with the page and the figure. Corrections to a specification, a height range or a load rating are the most useful mail this address receives and they get fixed quickly.
